How does autoinstaller work?
If you are unable to install the plugin, and don't want to directly contact us, you may use this tool, that will automatically install the addon on your server all setup to work, you just need to start the server after it (and invite the bot to your server ofc).
When you add your ftp/sftp details they this information will be sent with a secure request (https) to our server. Our server will use a ftp client to connect to your bedrock-server and install the addon with the configuration details you have provided.
Yes, your credentials will be sent over a secure connection (https) to our server.
Our server will only use such credentials to install the addon, and they won't be stored. In fact you will need to send them every time you want to reinstall/update the addon using this tool. It is still a good practice not to use your own ftp credentials, but to generate new ftp credentials, which you can later delete once the setup is completed.
Be aware that this is an experimental tool, so you should always first backup your server, and hold a copy of your world on your pc.
Finally, be aware that your credentials are being sent to Esploratori-development server: as a general rule you should send credentials over the internet only if you trust who is receiving them, which in this case is Esploratori-development.
If your server is hosted on a shared bedrock-hosting server (which is probably the case) you have access to an admin panel which allows to create new ftp credentials. Usually under Account option.
You can now paste these credentials into the form, make sure to select the right protocol.
As for the second step, you need to invite the bot to your discord server and run the command /setup and /new-token, this command will generate a bridge-token which you can paste in the form.
Origin setup is suggested if you change your server location very often, as bridge-token are ip-secured (which means that if you change server location you will need to request and setup a new token). You can use this option only if you have a domain pointing at your server.
Using custom-config folder is not suggested unless you are running your server on a vps or on your pc, as most hosting companies don't support it.
Finally discord link will allow players on your server to have their chat appear on discord as their discord display-setup (same name and pfp), while startup notiication will send an embed everytime your server is started (or the addon is reloaded).
If you are getting an error, please check that you insert the right information, that you are using the right connection protocol and that you didn't forget pieces of credentials (username, and password need to be pasted exactly as provided by your host company).
